INGREDIENTS - **OPTIONAL ITEMS
6-8 LEMONS
RAW LOCAL HONEY
**SLICES OF GINGER
**CAYENNE PEPPER
**FRESH MINT LEAVES
CLEAN WATER
BAKING SODA OR SEA SALT AND/OR VINEGAR
JARS/CUPS
TAKE THE WHOLE LEMONS AND SUBMERSE THEM INTO A BOWL OF WATER WITH ANY COMBINATION OF THE BAKING SODA, SALT, VINEGAR TO SOAK AND WASH OFF THE DEBRIS (EVEN ORGANIC LEMONS).
CUT THE LEMONS IN HALF AND USE A HAND JUICER TO SQUEEZE THE LEMON JUICE OUT OF EACH ONE. PLACE THE JUICE ASIDE FOR NOW.
CUT THE LEMONS IN SLICES AND PLACE THEM IN A LARGE POT OF FILTERED CLEAN WATER TO BOIL. BOIL FOR 5 MINUTES, THEN TURN DOWN THE TEMP AND SIMMER FOR A FEW MORE MINUTES.
ALLOW THE WATER TO COOL A BIT AND STRAIN THE LEMONS OUT (KEEP THE RINDS).
